About Arcata Oyster Festival
Now in its twenty-fifth year, the Arcata Oyster Festival is Arcata Main Street’s only fundraiser of the year and the largest one-day event in Humboldt County.

Every year over 14,000 festival attendees gather on the Arcata Plaza to celebrate Humboldt County’s local aquaculture and savor the delicacies that have earned a reputation as the Oyster Capital of California. All of the proceeds from this festival are reinvested back into the AMS community as the Oyster Festival celebrates the North Coast culture where merchants, restaurateurs, volunteers and guests embrace locally grown and prepared foods, drinks, and art.
